DAY 7

DAY 7, MONDAY, JUNE 24TH

Left Concord, NH and headed to Maine!

Had lunch with a good friend, Suzanne!!

Then we had dessert at Big Daddy's!!!

DAY 6

DAY 6, SUNDAY, JUNE 23RD

Back at Martha's home!

Cousin Martha let us borrow a homemade Cribbage board including matches for pegs

Arrived for Brunch, which included BACON!!!!!

Had a wonderful time visiting and laughing and eating!

About 2:00 headed south to Andover, NH.

Jack took me to Dartmouth's Skiway, check out these beautiful wildflowers!!!

Then we passed by the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Yup Dr. Seuss went there!!

We landed at Margarita's Restaurant in Hanover and had dinner with Alexandra and Betty Ann (Jack's classmates from the sandbox)

But of course, I forgot to take pictures!!

PHEW, long day!

DAY 5

(continuation of day 4)

Headed to Cousin Martha & David's home in West Barnet, VT and enjoyed a wonderful dinner and fantastic conversation.

Then we headed to Harvey Lake for the evening and stayed in a quaint log cabin across from the lake.

Whoops no towels or sheets, we were supposed to bring our own. Oh well.

No phone connections, no computer connections, no TV....what to do? (that is why I wasn't able to post till now)

Jack laughed and said I guess we have to talk to each other. I started a great book too.

Day 5, Saturday, June 22nd

Cousins Karleen (with hubby Bill) and Lorna arrived and we had a BBQ at Martha and David's home.

It started raining, NO pouring and we headed back to the cabins and enjoyed being out of the rain.

DAY 4

DAY 4, FRIDAY, JUNE 21ST

Travelled from Watertown, NY to VT .

Went to Seranac Lake, Lake Placid

Lake Placid, NY

where they did the downhill jumps

Then we headed to Essex, NY and took the Ferry across Lake Champlain to Charlotte, VT

Saw this amazing clock on the wall of "The Old Brick Store"

Then we headed to Ben & Jerry's!!!!!

Got an ice cream cake of Cherry Garcia and Chocolate!! It was frozen so it didn't defrost before we got to the cousins home!

DAY 3

DAY 3, THURSDAY, JUNE 20TH

Travelled from Chambersburg, PA to

Watertown, NY

She won't lay down, so she fell asleep sitting up!

She saw me take her picture (she's embarrased)

In the hotel room, she looks like batman's dog!

No more back seats for this girl! (until tomorrow)

She is plum tuckered!!!

DAY 2

DAY 2, Tuesday, June 19th

Left Bulls Gap, Tn this morning about 10:00.

Went from TN, VA, WV, MD and are now in Chambersboro, PA.

Not a bad drive except too many 18 wheelers on the road.

ON OUR WAY!!

Day 1 (Tuesday, June 18th)

We left TN about 3:00 and arrived in Bulls Gap, Tn about 7:00 (time change made it 8:00)

Shadow doesn't much care for being stuck in the seat behind me because there is not that much room. Plus she was so excited to see where we were going, she never laid down.

Went through Wendy's and headed to our hotel and relaxed watching a bunch of "Big Bang Theory"s.

She is ready to go!!!

Hmmmm this is much nicer than the back seat of the car!!

Yes, I'm spoiled!!!

HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING BABY!!!!!

Well things have changed since the last time I posted here. Instead of letting everybody and their brother know we are out of town for the summer, we decided to post here.

We are leaving next Tuesday, June 18th and headed North to Lake Placid.

So I will journal our vacation through this blog so ya'll (we live in TN now) will know where we are and what we are doing.

We have a few surprises for some of you because after we leave CT we are heading to CA. We will contact you way ahead of time to see if we can stop by and see you!

In the meantime here are some pics from the last 7 years of travel.

Some of these pictures are of Jack's friends from Taft '61 others are friends we only get to see when we travel, and others are our friends we have meet at Taft!
