Well I finally have time to update you all!!
Last Saturday, left State Line and headed to Grand Junction. Found a great Mexican Restaurant called "Tequila's" yummy....we were so tired we almost fell asleep at dinner.
Last Sunday headed to Matt & Vicki's house in Evergreen. My bestest ya ya, Ruthie, came over and we all spent the day visiting and went to the local sports bar, ate dinner and watched the Celtics beat the crap outta the Lakers!! Ruthie whisked me off and Jack stayed with Matt & Vicki.
Monday, Ruthie & I stayed in our pj's all day long!! Rented movies on the TV, "Valentine's Day" "Dear John" and "Crazy Heart".....we cried but said "its ok to cry, I'm with a ya ya".
Tuesday, we got mani's and pedi's and had dinner at a Thai restaurant!
Wednesday prepared the house for Bunco and I won!! Got to meet lots of ladies who were transplanted to Colorado from California.
Thursday am, Jack picked me up and we headed to Omaha, Nebraska to meet up with Rebecca (Jack's neice). His brother and wife flew in as well and we all had dinner together at Qdoba while watching the playoffs (went back to the hotel to see the Lakers win the series, boo!!)
Friday was the longest day ever!! We drove from Omaha, through Iowa, Illinois and into Indianapolis, Indiana. It took us 9 hours because it rained almost the whole way!! Heavy heavy rain, almost zero visibility, lightening, thunder and close to tornado warning weather. We finally got to see our friend, Dr. Sturman from California and his friend Karen. We ate at a cute little restaurant along the canal. Then it started pouring!! Lightening storm and lots of rain. I saw a funny sign at White Castle that said "join us for breakfast with a fried bologna sandwich."
Saturday morning we drove up to Fort Wayne, IN and saw our dear friend Carrie and her daughters Aimee and Laura. We had lunch and was there for almost 4 hours!! It's always so much fun to see them. But we are glad we have facebook so we don't have to wait a year to keep in touch. Then we headed to Cambridge, Ohio and drove through lots of small towns where we totally enjoyed looking at the farms and tractors and fields filled with corn and wheat. We even passed a Amish family tilling the field.
Sunday (Father's Day) headed to Hershey, PA. So we drove through Ohio, West Virginia then Pennsylvania. Took pics (which I will post later) of Hershey. Very pretty place. Spent a nice later part of the day just relaxing in our hotel room on the computer catching up and making travel plans for the rest of the week.
Tomorrow we head out to Boston to see Jack's cousin, Bart & Lee in Boston.
So that's it for now....hope you didn't fall asleep reading this!!
