Sunday, July 7th
I had it in my heart that I wanted to visit Newtown-Sandy Hook, CT. My friend, Sue Keown Peck knows the town and went with me.
As we traveled through I couldn't help but say prayers for everyone. The town was pretty quite on this beautiful Sunday....come to find out that most of the people were at a Yankee's game.
Please visit and "like" facebook's We Are Newtown page.
Here is what they said about the game:
Today 4,000 people from Newtown will attend the New York Yankees game in the Bronx as invitees from the Yankee Organization for "Newtown Day". Tickets also include one hot dog, chips and soda courtesy of Nathan's.
Metro North Railroad has also discounted tickets and made special trains available directly to the stadium.
Going to the game? Don't forget to wear your We Are Newtown shirt!!
Thanks to all who continue to come together to support our community.
